Incumbents Get Local CDF Vote in Council Race

Temecula Mayor Chuck Washington and City Councilman Mike Naggar have both garnered city council race endorsements from the California Department of Forestry Firefighters Riverside Chapter.

The current mayor of Temecula and the mayor pro-tem -- both of them are running for reelection -- have garnered a local firefighter agency's endorsement.

"On behalf of the CDF Firefighters Riverside Chapter, we would like to inform you officially of our endorsement of your candidacy for the Temecula City council," reads a letter sent to incumbent Mayor Chuck Washington and City Councilman Mike Naggar.

"Your unyielding commitment to public and firefighters [sic] safety has made our decision to endorse you an easy one," the letter continued.
