Temecula's Mayor Pro Tem wants to see patriotism every day in her city.

During Tuesday night's Temecula City Council meeting, Maryann Edwards made the shout out as she recalled Sept. 11, 2001. As most Americans, she remembered exactly where she was the morning of the attacks.

"I was at a Rotary Club meeting," she said, recalling the patriotism that followed in her city. Flags were flown, and there was a sense of coming together, she added.

Edwards wants to see that patriotism continue.

"Let's continue to fly our flags every single day," she said.
