Public Invited to Make Plan for Jefferson Corridor

"It is with an eye towards the future that the City is developing a new, community-based, long-term isioning process designed to ensure and promote livability, mobility, sustainability and prosperity for the ," said Christine Damko, a spokesperson for the city.

Residents will be encouraged to provide feedback and ask questions about the project, especially regarding their vision for the future of the Jefferson corridor.

The area along Jefferson Avenue got little attention as other parts of the city expanded, Damko wrote in an announcement.

The Jefferson Corridor has long been an important area of the community.

"Although it has decreased in significance as the City of Temecula has experienced dynamic growth in other areas, it maintains its potential to be key economic component of both the City and the Southwest Riverside County region," she wrote.
