Realtors Endorse Waldron for State Assembly

The Escondido resident is running to represent the 75th district, which includes parts of Temecula.

An Escondido City Council member was endorsed by the North San Diego County Association of Realtors in her run for the newly-created .

Marie Waldron aims to represent the district, a quarter of which is made up of Temecula residents, her campaign organizers announced today.

“Marie understands that getting our economy back on track means decreasing the burden of state government on California’s entrepreneurs, small businesses and hard-working families,” said Chuck Smiar, the association's government relations chairman. “Like many California small businesspeople, our members continue to be burdened by excessive regulations, unwarranted fee increases and an over-bearing bureaucracy. We appreciate Marie’s commitment to fight for us in Sacramento.”

The association is the largest trade group in northern San Diego County, representing about 6,000 real estate industry professionals, according to an emailed announcement.   

The realtors association is the second major business group to endorse Waldron’s candidacy – the Lincoln Club of San Diego County announced their support of Waldron in late 2011. To read about the endorsement, .

Waldron has also got the support of prominent current 75th district legislators Senator Joel Anderson, Senator Mark Wyland, Assemblyman Martin Garrick and Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries, according to the release.
