Temecula Marine Dies in Alcohol-Fueled Motorcycle Wreck

He was riding through Fallbrook when he lost control on a turn and flew off the bike, a county official says.

An active-duty marine from Temecula died in an alcohol-related motorcycle wreck, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office.

The 22-year-old marine was speeding eastbound on East Mission Road in Fallbrook around 6 p.m. Tuesday on his 2006 Kawasaki when he hit a turn and lost control, according to the examiner’s office.

His name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

He flew off his motorcycle near 2038 East Mission Road and suffered “multisystem blunt force injuries.” Somebody called 911, and deputies found him dead when they arrived, the office stated.

Alcohol intoxication contributed to the crash, according to the medical examiner.
