The city of Temecula is preparing once again to host its annual New Year's Eve on the Square and Grape Drop Countdown.
The evening of family-friendly entertainment and fun gets underway at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 at according to the city of Temecula's website. There will be live music, face painting and a magician.
Safety Orange performing from 8:15 p.m. 10:15 p.m., followed by Cloud taking the stage from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Ring in the new year Temecula-style with countdowns at 9 p.m. (east coast time) and again at midnight (west coast time).
Revelers can also choose to ice skate their way into 2013. The city-sponsored ice skating rink at Town Square is offering a New Year's Eve special from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
For those too young to stay up late, there is New Year's Eve at Noon on Dec. 31 at Pennypickle's Workshop, 42081 Main St., Temecula.
