Temecula cyclists are about to see changes out on the road with the city's five-year commitment to improving amenities that will help make the roads safer for all of us -- fixing and connecting all those on-street bike lanes that start and stop, restriping the bike lanes less than a foot wide, cleaning up trash and debris making things sketchy in traffic, getting police to act on verbal assaults and worse from motorists.
Cycling is now front and center as part of the city's overall plan to make Temecula a better place to live -- livable streets, alternative transportation, better communities.
Truth is, young people in particular see cycling as part of their future, along with public transportation.
