2 Temecula High Schools Tie For Third In Grueling Mock Trial Championship

More than 500 students from 26 Riverside County high schools teams have participated in the competition that began February 6 at regional courts in Indio, Temecula and Riverside.

After nearly a month of court battles and four hours of legal drama on the final day of competition, Temecula Valley and Temecula Great Oak high schools tied for third in the 2013 Riverside County Mock Trial championship.

Riverside’s Poly High School emerged as the champion Saturday at the Riverside Historic Courthouse, while King High School, also of Riverside, finished second.

Poly High now goes on to represent Riverside County at the California State Mock Trial Competition being held in Riverside March 22-24.
