Parents Reading Core Literature Group

The Temecula Valley Unified School District's Parents Reading Core Literature (PRCL) group will meet. Discussions will now be focused on middle school books; assignments will be announced the prior month. All meetings will be held at CHS. Meeting room may vary; attendees are asked to check in for a visitor badge and room directions.
The group gives parents a chance to read and discuss the books their students are or will be reading in middle and high school. The group is a partnership between the school district and the Temecula Valley Council PTA.
Goals of the program include increasing parental involvement at the middle and high school level, where it often wanes. Also the program aims to prompt family discussions about books and encourage reading for enjoyment.
The group is open to parents of students in the district. It is led by Dianne Vaez, co-principal at Chaparral High School and former director of curriculum, instruction and assessment for the school district.
CHS is located at 27215 Nicolas Road, Temecula. For more information, see the Temecula Valley Council PTA website at www.tvcpta.org or call (951) 506-3484.
