Great Oak Sudents Place in American Legion Speech Competition

As the top winner, Marianne Dang will move on to American Legion district level competition, to be held in Perris on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013.

Three Great Oak High School students were recognized in the American Legion's Post 852 annual speech competition.

Marianne Dang, Karoline Kitlowski and Alex Dang placed first, second and fourth respectively.

The students wrote and performed an 8-10 minute oration on an aspect of the U.S. Constitution as well as a 3-5 minute impromptu speech on four different articles of the Constitution.
