New Charter School to Close

Context Charter School will close Friday because it ran out of money, officials say.

Temecula's newest charter school ran out of money and is scheduled to close on Monday.

The 's accepted the surrender of Context Middle School's charter Tuesday, according to the Californian.

The school's charter was approved in 2010, and the district agreed to lease classrooms at its headquarters.

Parents and teachers applauded the board after the deal was sealed, and many said they were optimistic about the school's unconventional style. To read about what they said, .

District officials offered to run the school as a regular middle school, and 129 students expressed interest, Superintendent Tim Ritter told the Californian.
