Chaparral One Step Closer to Pedestrian Bridge

The school district is scheduled to hand over a chunk of land that will let the city build a bridge over a creek to Chaparral High.

is one step closer to getting a footbridge over Santa Gertrudis Creek.

The Board of Trustees is scheduled to vote at a 6 p.m. Tuesday meeting on giving a 2,813-square-foot piece of property to the City of Temecula as an easement so it can build the bridge.

The city will improve the area, adding sidewalks, concrete ramps and signs, according to Lori Ordway-Peck, the assistant superintendent of business support services.
