Rancho Christian School Gets New Athletic Center

A groundbreaking is scheduled for the 60,000 square foot field and gymnasium complex.

The school at Rancho Christian School is getting a new athletic center.

A groundbreaking is set for Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at Rancho Community Center at 31300 Rancho Community Way.

The 60,000-square-foot “Youth Activity Center” is slated for the west side of the current campus and will include two athletic fields and a building with two gymnasiums, a café and coffee shop, tutoring and activity rooms and school classrooms, said Alex McLean, a spokesperson for the church.

The school’s  CIF sports leagues – mainly Eagle football – will use the field and share it with the youth ministry, McLean said.

The groundbreaking will include a presentation by Scott Treadway, the church’s lead pastor, and Mike Johnson, the school’s superintendant.
