School Officials to Consider Opening Campuses

A student of Temecula Valley High School suggested letting high school seniors in good academic standing leave the campus during lunch. The board will consider he request on Tuesday.

"It was requested by a student at Temecula Valley High School that a change to Board Policy 5112.5 - Closed Campus be considered, allowing academically eligible senior students the privilege of leaving campus," states a staff report.

The school district's staff recommends denying the student's request.

"The suggestion… was considered and, after research and discussion, staff recommends the board policy remain as is," the report states.
