Seminars Aim to Educate About Breast Cancer

Free informational seminars begin today at Mt. San Jacinto College.

A series of seminars to educate the public about breast cancer started today.

The event began today and is scheduled to continue at 12:30-1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Mt. San Jacinto College’s Temecula campus. It’s free and open to the public.

Another seminar was scheduled at the Menifee Valley campus on September 20 from 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. in the technology building in assembly room 927.

Parking permits are required on both campuses and cost $1. The permits can be purchased from machines located in the parking lots.

Many people are affected by breast cancer.

“A very good friend of mine recently died from breast cancer, leaving her six kids without a mother,” resident Kim Bower explained. “Glad to learn of these important seminars.”

The director of Michelle’s Place Breast Cancer Resource Center in Murrieta, Kim Goodnough, will be the guest speaker at four of the seminars, Karin Marriott wrote in a statement.
