Temecula Leads County in API

The school district has the highest API score in the county.

The Temecula students have the highest API score in the county, according to recently released results.

Students in the got an average score of 859, according to Rick Peoples, a spokesperson for the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools.

Nearby districts got the second- and third-highest scores.
Menifee Union Elementary and Murrieta Valley Unified school districts tied for second place with 843.

The Lake Elsinore Unified School District got the third highest score with 833. The Corona-Norco Unified School District was fourth highest with 815.

These scores are part of an upward swing countywide, said Kenneth Young, the superintendent of schools.

“Year-in and year-out, Riverside County’s students are improving faster than most other students in the state," he said. 'This new data bears that out."
