The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce gave the award.

Nine high school seniors won the Student of the Month award from the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The students were nominated for their character, academic achievement, community service and involvement in school, said Melonie Norton, spokesperson for the Temecula Valley Unified School District.

The awards program is in its 19th year, and it awards kids in Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Perris and Menifee school districts, too, Norton said.
