Temecula's Fourth Charter School Opens Doors

Context Middle School accepts its first class of students.

Class was in session for the first time in Temecula's newest charter school.

Context Middle School, which runs out of classrooms at the , opened its doors Monday, according to the Californian.

The school went through a lot to get where it is today, according to organizers. It struggled to find a compromise with the school board and fought to find a place to hold class.

"This has been the toughest thing I've ever done, by far," Michele Smith, the school's founder, told the Californian.

The school was the brainchild of Michele Smith, who wanted to offer students an alternative to the traditional school system.

Many of the students came to Context from other charters, according to the report.

Shania Kirchhoff, a 12-year-old seventh-grader, said Context sounded like a better school than her previous one, River Springs Charter School.

"It sounded like a better school for me," Shania told the Californian. "It's more strict. That's better for me."
