Vail Ranch After-School Program Opens Enrollment

The program is a safe, affordable option for after-school supervision, organizers say.

Enrollment is open for Vail Ranch's after-school "Dog House" program.

The sessions run 2:45-6 p.m. Monday through Friday at , according to Barbara Burkett, a spokesperson for the City of Temecla, which is sponsoring the program.

Each day includes a homework and study session, a scheduled enrichment course and organized free time. It costs $100.00 per month to attend five days per week and $60.00 per month to attend three days per week.

It's open only to Vail Ranch students, and a $10 discount is applied to siblings enrolled in the program.

The Dog House is supervised by Senior Recreation Leaders from the Community Services Department who were security screened and CPR certified.

The Doghouse program, named after the school's mascot, started three years ago.
