Chaparral Softball Heads to CIF Playoffs
The Pumas will host Cypress Thursday in the first round of the CIF Division 1 playoffs.
With one of the most talented leagues in CIF softball, the Southwestern League is poised for a great run in the Division 1 softball playoffs.
Despite finishing second in league, Chaparral High (20-6) has the best overall record of the four teams that earned a playoff berth.
The Pumas will host Cypress (13-11-1), the No. 2 team from the Empire League, Thursday in a first-round game.

Chaparral's draw wasn't the kindest, because if the Pumas win Thursday, they likely face fourth-seeded Los Alamitos in Tuesday's second round. The site would be determined by a coin flip.
