Temecula Athletes Make County All-Star Basketball Team

Players from all over the county are scheduled to compete.

Several Temecula athletes are set to play in the Fifth-Annual Desert Valley Boys and Girls All-Star Basketball Game.

The game will happen at 6:15 p.m. Friday at . The girls' game will go first with three-point and free-throw contests. Their game will start at 6 p.m.

The boys' game is set for 8 p.m. with the same two contests, and the game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. with a slam-dunk contest at halftime.

James Sampson from and Josh Richardson from will wear the white jerseys of the home team, which will be coached by Andy Rucker of Vista Murrieta.

Andy Farra of Temecula Valley High, Michael Brown of and Riley Tremayne of Chaparral High will wear the dark uniforms of the away team, which will be coached by Tim Hatch of Citrus Hill High School in Perris.

Briana Larkins of Chaparral High, Malia Cravens of Temecula Valley High, Vianna Amabile of Great Oak High, Ta’Re Cunnigan of Chaparral High and Kerri Jensen of Temecula Valley High will wear the white uniform of the girls home team uniforms and be coached by Chris Jones of Vista Murrieta.

Madeline Brooks of Temecula Valley High and Brittney Maurice of Great Oak High will wear the dark colors of the girls away team, which will be coached by Melissa Baker of Citrus Hill High.
