Temecula Girl to Compete in National Gymnastics Tournament

She is scheduled to head to Virginia on May 11 to compete against the nation's best.

Megan Jimenez, 17, of Temecula, is a five-time national qualifier to the Junior Olympic National Gymnastic Championships to be held in Hampton, VA on May 11, 2012.

She qualified recently by winning bronze medals on both bars and the all-around competition at the regional championships in Las Vegas.

The junior at also holds five state championship titles and seven regional championship titles, and is a former member of the Junior Olympic National Team.

Jimenez trains full-time at Precision Gymnastics in Rancho Cucamonga under coaches Trent and Jill Spaulding, and she has accepted a full-ride scholarship to compete for the University of Michigan upon graduation.
