Weather: Is it Hot Enough For You?

The mercury is expected to climb into the mid-90s in Temecula Sunday.

Hot temperatures are here and the National Weather Service has issued a special advisory warning residents to stay cool.

"High pressure over Utah will bring an inland warming trended with hottest temperatures for inland areas Monday through Wednesday, 5 to 10 degrees above average," the NWS reported in a special weather statement Sunday.

In Temecula, temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-90s, getting higher as the week progresses.

The weather service advised drinking plenty of water, staying out of the sun during the hottest part of the day, wearing cool clothing and applying plenty of sunsreen.

Temecula also has cool centers at its public libraries.

According to the NWS, the hot conditions can be deadly for unprepared hikers and campers.
