What a Creative and Art-Filled Spring this Has Been!

So many events to be passionate about!

My daughters Holly and JJ met my husband and I at The Public House in Old Town Temecula for Mother's Day. The wine and food were great and we sat out back on the covered patio.

VEGAS BABY! Bobbie Boes of the Temecula Theater Foundation invited me to paint live for their 3-day fundraising event and golf tournament in Las Vegas. I painted a vineyard scene on canvas that was auctioned off at the Memorial Day auction and gala dinner. We stayed at the JW Marriott and I was also able to hold a www.artplusvino.com class in a poolside cabana with drinks and lunch delivered!

Spring brings the annual High Country Art Show in Anza, CA. As the President of the Anza Valley Artists I am very grateful and appreciative of the commitment of the other artist members who helped put on a great show. We had record attendance and raffle ticket sales. Our featured artist this year was Ricardo Breceda from Temecula. www.ricardobreceda.com. He brought a truck load of his metal sculptures to show and sale. We raised $714 in raffle ticket sales to donate to the Anza Community Hall.

My sister Lisa traveled from Ohio to see me. She attended one of my painting classes and we visited Old Town Temecula where she viewed a mural I painted in the original bank vault of The Bank Mexican Restaurant. Sometimes I get so busy working that I don't think about my skills and talents until a family member sees my work for the first time and is really amazed.

I give painting classes to beginners every Wednesday 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Oak Mountain Winery in Temecula. I love meeting new people and getting to paint with them! We also have classes one Sunday a month at Viva Vino Spanish Wine Bar in Old Town Temecula and we just added Danza del Sol Winery to the lineup. Watch for more information!

June 8 brought the talented group from www.chordsandvines.com up to our Manzanita Ranch to broadcast their online radio program live from our dining room! Kat Ellis and Joe Mullinex host this show about music and wine every Sunday afternoon. Our musical guest was Michael Thomas, Country music star. The wine expert was John Tiso, owner of La Serenissima (the Most Serene), a twenty acre Venetian Estate Winery sitting at 3500’ elevation in Warner Springs, North San Diego County. You can visit them at www.vinotiso.com.

I hope you all had an eventful Spring and are looking forward to Summer!

Remember to be passionate about everything you do!
