Class to Teach Kids About Safety

A course for young children is set to teach them how to live safety. The class will be taught in a miniature replica of a city.

Safety Town, a four-day interactive program designed to introduce and teach 5- to 8-year-old children various aspects of safety sponsored by the Temecula Sunrise Rotary Club, is scheduled for June.

The first week is June 18-21, with a morning session from 9 a.m. to noon.  The second week is June 25-28 from 9 a.m. to noon at in Redhawk.

Since the registration fees do not begin to cover costs, it is the club’s contribution to the community to help make our children safe. Because of the generous support of State Farm Insurance, the price has been reduced this year to only $25 per child, and no child will be turned away.

This is the tenth year this popular program has been offered in the Temecula Valley.  A nationally recognized program that began in Mansfield, Ohio, in 1937, it is a safe and interesting learning environment that is set up as a little town with buildings, pedal cars and street lights, simulating an actual town.
