Elks Honor Emergency Workers

The local Elks lodge honor several officers and a paramedic for exceptional work.

Several emergency workers were honored by the Temecula Valley Elks Lodge for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Paramedic Sean DeGrave, CHP Officer Dan England, CHP Officer John Garcia, Temecula Police Department Community Service Officer Caroline Zachary, Border Patrol Agent Nicolas Garcia and Murrieta Police Officer Derek Huss were honored for going "above and beyond the call of duty to provide a safe environment for the citizens of our community," said Elks spokesperson Robert Farrens.

More than 90 officers, firefighters, their families and colleagues along with members of the lodge attended the event, which is one of several the Elks host each year to recognize citizens and students around the valley.
