Horse Show to Benefit Sanctuary

The event aims to show off the rescued horses and raise money to care for them.

A horse show is scheduled to raise money for a local animal sanctuary.

The event is slated for 2-9 p.m. Saturday at the sanctuary, at 42200 Calle Barbona in Wine Country.

The nonprofit group will show off its rescued equestrians as well as have live jazz, food, local wines and beers, a photo shoot with horses for children and auctions, said Louise Gardner, the group's chief financial officer.
