Ziggy, a 20-year-old palomino, was left for dead in a ranch in Downy. Villa Chardonnay, a Temecula horse rescue and sanctuary, saved him, but now his life is in danger again.
He was diagnosed with cancer in his eye. He needs surgery, but it will cost about $3,500.
The horse rescue is looking for donations to pay for the life-saving surgery. To contribute, visit www.villachardonnay.org. They are also looking for donations of alfalfa, which can be ordered and sent directly to them by calling Big Horse at 951-676-2544.
