Pujol Street is no longer the Pujol Street of years back. The area has cleaned up very well.

^^ Agreed. Checking out all these articles, everyone is talking crap on the area. I went up and saw the crash site from the Main Divide. It was not far below. While I'm not anRead More expert, it appeared (since it was reported the plane circled twice before crashing) the pilot may have been trying to crash land on a open graveled parking area but (possibly because of the wind?) over shot the parking area and hit a tree line which bordered the parking area. This tore the wing off and the fuselage dropped into a shallow gully next to the tree line. Pure speculation, but to me it looked like he tried. It's sad indeed, and my heart goes out to the families involved.

@patriot. You don't have to deport 10 to 15 million (or however many there really are) illegals.Read More Take the jobs away, take benefits away and most will go home on their own. The rest you deport as they are caught breaking other laws. Secure the border! This problem is not as hard to solve as people think.
Thresher300 July 10, 2014 at 09:02 am
Did anyone read about Eisenhower's plan back in the 50s? It seemed to have worked. Those laws areRead More still in the books. See Operation Wetback. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Wetback
Thresher300 July 10, 2014 at 09:07 am
Here's the operation in a nutshell: In 1949 the Border Patrol seized nearly 280,000 illegalRead More immigrants. By 1953, the numbers had grown to more than 865,000, and the U.S. government felt pressured to do something about the onslaught of immigration. What resulted was Operation Wetback, devised in 1954 under the supervision of new commissioner of the Immigration and Nationalization Service, Gen. Joseph Swing. Swing oversaw the Border patrol, and organized state and local officials along with the police. The object of his intense border enforcement were "illegal aliens," but common practice of Operation Wetback focused on Mexicans in general. The police swarmed through Mexican American barrios throughout the southeastern states. Some Mexicans, fearful of the potential violence of this militarization, fled back south across the border. In 1954, the agents discovered over 1 million illegal immigrants. In some cases, illegal immigrants were deported along with their American-born children, who were by law U.S. citizens. The agents used a wide brush in their criteria for interrogating potential aliens. They adopted the practice of stopping "Mexican-looking" citizens on the street and asking for identification. This practice incited and angered many U.S. citizens who were of Mexican American descent. Opponents in both the United States and Mexico complained of "police-state" methods, and Operation Wetback was abandoned. Sound familiar? Yes! This was done in Arizona, and it worked well, but really pissed off Obama.

Usually there is a motorcycle officer who pulls over any car they see turning around to avoid theRead More checkpoint, so basically they are illegally detaining you for avoiding being illegally detained at the checkpoint. But its legal.
KMA July 6, 2014 at 12:29 pm

Marlene, To answer your question who is paying for those cops protecting those illegal aliens andRead More arresting local resident protesters is YOU and every citizen of Murrieta. Basically you are paying for those cops that are more than willing to arrest you for protesting against flooding your city with hundreds maybe even thousands of illegal people with on money, no place to live, bringing in all kinds of diseases, violence and crime, expecting to have foodand shelter supplied at your tax dollar expence. Not to mention what the arrival of these illegal blood suckers will do to your property values. No one is going to want to live in a Barrio. If you want to stop the destruction of murrieta you have to take action. Not with protests and signs and being arrested by the boys in blue whoses wages you pay for demonstrating. It's like stopping a rattle snake. If you want to stop it immediately you chop off the head and food supply. The way to stop this snake infesting Murrieta is by not paying your property taxes but even better boy cott the local big businesses that pay huge tax dollars to the city that supplies the pay checks for the boys in blue that are willing to arrest you and protect illegal aliens. Spport the small businesses but boycott the big tax payers like walmart, cosco, Home depot, Lowes etc. When the Murrieta city council finds they have no money to pay for the cops, their pay checks, schools, etc. They will wake up and back the citizens not lock them up. Shop the walmarts, cosco's, lowes and Home Depots in neighboring cities. Cut off the tax dollar money flow to the city and watch how fast the city leaders get in to action to stop the flow of illegals from entering the city. You have to cut off the head of the serpent by cutting their tax income.

Brenda July 3, 2014 at 08:04 am
The article says BELIEVED to have been with her grandmother. BELIEVED to have been seen with herRead More grandmother. So, the editor is basing the story on what the mother and the initial police report says. NOT ON FACTS, just presumptions like most news articles are until the actual facts come out. As you can see the actual facts are not being released as yet other then she has been found and is fine. It sucks because it leaves it wide open as to where or who had the baby or maybe the mother forgot she was still asleep in her crib all day. Like the man who just recently went to work all day, even out to lunch and thought his baby was at daycare and she was actually in the back of the car, with car seat turned to the back per law, and he just did not see her. ******cough*******we have some truly jacked up parents out there these days. Nor, can we overlook the issue at hand that someone brings up of her being the Exmother-in-law and might have Grandmother visitation rights and/or is part of the pick up drop off for the father. That drama alone could be endlesss especially with the "Mother" supposedly giving the article a little juice by sayng the Mother in law has a history of "mental illness" which probably means, depression, anxiety which something like 80% of our country has one or the other with the top medications being subscribed are for anxiety and depression. I put very litle faith in a EX anyone who calls anyone from the EX family mentally disturbed in any fashion as they try to pile up police reports for the courts in their custody battle. Something I feel, if true, wasted alot of police man hours yesterday that the parents should be paying for along with a chunk for the EX Mother in law for calling her mentally disturbed. :/ Just my personal theory on the case.

California is awful for small business. It's great for high-profit tech firms that need to attractRead More highly paid talent. That's why so many small businesses incorporate in NV or other states and utilize other residency loopholes to avoid outrageous taxes and fees. If they eased up on the $800 an LLC has to pay ever year (I believe only ONE other state charges a flat large annual fee like this), maybe there wouldn't be so much flight. What I can't comprehend is the previous post claiming companies are lobbying the state for lenient immigration rules so they can have access to cheap labor. Who are these companies? Certainly not the tech firms in the Bay Area, what are they going to do with migrant workers? They're the donors to the Democratic party. And if the Demos aren't trying to create policy that would benefit the poor and middle class, then who is? Republicans? Would you be able to tell me that with a straight face?

i sure hope this is a wake up call for the younger set around the valley. one or two bad decisionsRead More and WHAM!!!!!! you're dead. live life, take chances, have fun, just try really hard not to be abjectly stupid about it. i once had to shovel an 18 year old kids brains off of I-5 because he made the simple mistake of not wearing a seatbelt, and his friend who was driving made the simple mistake of changing a cd in the car stereo, drifting out of his lane, realizing it and overcorrecting resulting in his car flipping side over side. the kid with no seatbelt was ejected and his head was crushed under the car killing him instantly..... at 18 years of age. there was little pieces of his head scattered all over the freeway, it still haunts me 15 years later, not sure i'll ever forget that night. i was just your average tow truck driver trying to make a living and now i have to live with this crap for the rest of my life. what you do DOES affect others.
