When he first became Sheriff, he pulled me over on the 10 by DHS because my diesel truck wasRead More smoking, told me to go to the wrecking yard, spend 50 bucks and get an air pump, which I did. He was right about the fix and the cost, and very nice to talk with there on the side of the road. May he rest in peace.

RIP Mr. Rafferty. Far to young to loose you and we must work harder to find a cure for cancer.

Scott Raftery was a delight to work with. He did not insulate himself in a press box, but would meetRead More the people and athletes he worked for. He was also a pro, and really "got it." At one of his first softball finals as an administrator, a coach from El Modena acted like a jerk, totally didn't get the "Pursuing victory with honor" mantra of the CIF; as I recall the incident, Raftery fired off a letter to inform him and his principal that if he didn't clean up his act, he wouldn't be allowed back. The Southern Section office lost a champion.

Rest in peace mr. Howser. "California Gold" is my favorite show. I hoped daily as iRead More searched channels to find the show. The amazing and enduring impact one man was able to make through his brodcasts on our community isRead More awsome. Well they did make a huge impact on franchising in the USA and in Riverside county, along with himRead More being a resident. I think he is more then worthy to have ran multi locations successfully for so many years and helped in developing the area, charities, other businesses etc. That is some 55 years if my counting is on spot. I only met Johan recently while watching the promo video at his flight instruction school. I haveRead More loved helicopters all my life and began a conversation with him about choppers. He was so generous with his time considering we had never met before. In no time at all I realised this was no ordinary individual. He was so exuberant. I quickly learned of his many accomplishments in his native country as well as his world records with helicopters. He then went on to speak with expertise on health and his water purifier business not only telling me about it but sending me home with "4" gallons to try out! This man didn't know me from Adam and yet he was so excited to share in his excitement of this latest discovery and all the health benefits that came along with it. I had a strong sense that this was a brother in the Lord and I asked about his faith to which he unabashedly told me of his faith in Christ and how important it was to him in his daily life. We shared over an hour together standing right where that memorial is now and I felt as if we'd been friends for years! This was a VERY special man indeed! Dear Monica, I did not know you, but this evening I happened by to have dinner at the cafe and saw the memorials and I was so stunned and moved at the loss of this special man. When everyone had left I spoke with you briefly because I know the Lord had me there to encourage you that Johan is with Him in heaven. I know also that many of us will be praying for you. So sorry. I am a very close friend of the wife. This story does not tell the truth. The police investigationRead More determined that Manny was NOT at fault, but only a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time...It is devastating for all who knew Manny, and even heart breaking to watch his wife mourn his loss... Anyone who can, please contribute to his Memorial fund to help pay for the extensive costs adding up because of his death. No amount is too small!

Jeff, I'm in alignment with your thoughts regarding elected officials. They should be publicRead More servants first and foremost. Their number one priority must be to their constituents, well ahead of increasing their own financial wealth. The final straw for us, what got our campaign started, was when Calvert's business "Stadium Properties" took away public land that was supposed to be allocated for a children's community park in Jurupa Valley. Instead of returning the property, after the purchase was uncovered by the Jurupa Community Services District, Stadium Properties chose instead to litigate. Jurupa had to use tax payer dollars to fight its Congressman's real estate business in court. Google it or check out our campaign website electnovak.com for links to news articles. Did you know that Congressmen earns $174,000 per year regardless of performance? Congressmen receive a government pension after just 5 years in office. Ridiculous. I will do everything in my power to stop both. Regards, Curt

TVOR, Great questions. As you may already know, the Federal Reserve is not a "Federal"Read More agency. The Federal Reserve is an independently controlled corporation of private banks. The Fed bears responsibility for the economic mess we are in now. Between 2007 and 2010 the Federal Reserve secretly bailed out many of the world's banks, corporations and governments without any public oversight or debate. They gave away/risked 16 Trillion of our US dollars and this was not uncovered until Congressmen Grayson and Paul introduced a Bill to Audit the Fed. Now that we know what The Fed is capable of doing we're still not watching. We need safeguards and transparency to assure we know about it next time. The Fed can manipulate the value of our personal wealth and economy through its control of interest rate and currency. Check out our page "fiscal responsibility" on our campaign website. The government is already involved in the health care industry. Pharmaceutical companies contributed $31.6 million to Republican and Democratic political candidates in 2010 and then those same politicians gave us "mandated health insurance" through Obamacare. I want to get rid of mandated insurance while allowing access to affordable universal health care to those who want it.
Jeff, My name is Eva Johnson. I am a Republican running for the U.S. House of Representatives inRead More the California 42nd District. I have spent 15 years in Southern Riverside County as a community leader. I am a Military Veteran, a Business Woman, a former Commissioner for the City of Murrieta, and a activist for families and children. I am a policy researcher and public policy analyst. I am a conservative who advocates for limited government. I fought hard for the Murrieta Initiatives under the limited government PAC that the voters in Murrieta passed by 73% in the 2010 election. I believe that our government has burdened us with over-reaching public policies in order to control people. As a public administrator and business woman, I understand the impact on families when the unemployment rates is high, gas prices are unbearable, and a government that wants to tax and regulate more. I support the repeal of Obama-care, and the termination of the unconstitutional, unlawful land grabs taking place in the 42nd district. I believe in lower taxes for businesses, Congressional term limits, banning Congressional earmarks, fiscal management and defending the U.S. Constitution.
