@enough, yes buy my question was does the state have plans in the works to fix the underlyingRead More problem which is bed space. Are their plans or is the state currently expanding prison facilities?
enough! July 16, 2014 at 03:27 pm
@ChrisG: Sorry I answered not directly though I understood your question. I was trying to explainRead More that instead of expanding facilities, the easier route for them is to transfer some to other prisons, both counties' and other private- held prisons and to other states'. It's more of county prisons that mostly are planning or already had expanded if not build new facilities. Thanks.

Wow! Talk about Brown-Obama-Democrat Cronyism. Not only can the system be built and installed forRead More less than $500/node, it already has. I helped with one of the nodes with-in the past four years. The system (requiring less than 25 sq.ft. (donated) can be set up similar to a Home WiFi Security Cam with FTP access. Really it can be automatically monitored and maintained for free through a cooperating University. This is merely a $16 million a year hornswoggle going into the crony's pocket. Its dirtier than greedy profit. All that, lying cheating and stealing on top of it. Republicans in office don't deserve to be there because they do not study and know about the communities they represent or what they have already (and recently) funded. They are not doing their jobs in a two party system. Having formerly worked for the DNC the only thing good I can say about democrats is they at least learn their constituencies well enough to manipulate them.

@A Sunberg, it seems you have missed the point. We do not want these illegal aliens in any of ourRead More communities. This is not about Murrieta. This is about releasing illegal aliens into our country before they have had an immigration hearing to determine if they are eligible for entry or if they need to be deported. Also, many are sick. According to the Obama administration, the transferees are being transported from Texas's Rio GrandeRead More Valley, where around 40,000 have surrendered at the U.S.-Mexico border since the beginning of the year. This figure only is for the children. Yesterday Obama said they apprehended all of these illegals, today they surrendered. We all read the news and know they have come her gladly to come to the US be accepted and fed, clothed, educated and cared for. This is what Obama spent millions of dollars advertising for. Now he continues to blackmail Congress give him billions to facilitate his crazy scheme. The American citizens, taxpayers and legal immigrants lose no matter how you look at it. Obama wants to know how long it will take Congress to pass his request for money. The American people want to know when Obama will secure the border and follow the laws regarding deportation. THE LAW FOR NOT DEPORTING ILLEGALLY TRAFFICKED CHILDREN ISN'T EVEN IN THE PROCESS TO BE CHANGED. THIS WAS NOT INCLUDED IN WHAT OBAMA REQUESTED, LEFT OUT INTENTIONALLY. HE WILL NOT DEPORT. HE HAS MADE THIS DECISION ON THE BACK OF THE TAXPAYERS.

America just opened the doors for immigrants to cheat the system where now the U.S. citizens can'tRead More afford medical , or a college degree. Free appllications for college are granted for illegals as long as they have graduated from a highschool or have done three years of highschool. Its easy for illegals to go to our schools because they just need a card with their name on it from a library.Well its really easy to get a card with your name on it from a local community store. Then if they don't have enough money to go to college they are granted government money to go to UCLA or USC, Fullerton all the California colleges grant free rides. The problem is after they receive their college degree and say they are making a better place for America (Not admitting they got in for free) pass with a C as a doctor and Wow they make it sound like they struggled. But yet the American people can't afford for their own kids going because they only qualify to make payments for their children with $1,600. a month for them to go to college. Why should the AMerican people have to pay when they legally are paying their taxes, and getting by with paying for everything.

jmell44 July 2, 2014 at 06:53 am
They've had split shifts in the bus industry for decades, it's not just RTA. Some drivers like theRead More break in their shift, if not, don't bid it! I drove a transit bus for 36 years, including split shifts, even 4-10 splits. Having a 3 day weekend every weekend is really nice. There are not many jobs where you have all the options to choose your hours and days off. Pay your dues, get a little seniority and make the best of it. Jeffries cut the budget to Code Enforcement in the 1st District the minute he took office and is nowRead More complaining they are not doing enough. Supervisor Buster used CID funding to bolster funding for Code and fought to keep funding in the budget. Jeffries talks about the Good Hope Park. The park was in great shape when Supervisor Buster was in office. Had a care taker and play equipment. Jeffries takes office gets rid of the caretaker and the park has to be demolished costing tax payers hundreds of thousands. See google image. Jeffries just unloaded $312,000 in CID funding in one day and is complaining about the department heads. We need a new supervisor that is not a rookie and knows what he is doing. Someone who can work across the board with County staff. This is not the legislature. He has no clue.
