The organizers have done a wonderful time advertising and painting a positive picture of the event.Read More I hope the writers of the Patch do a little research and tell the readers of Temecula and Southwest County a little of the dark side of this event. How many people were arrested for possession and selling illegal drugs. How many people had to seek emergency medical attention due to drug usage. The organizers and park staff took on a huge liability by treating party goers at the event without having young people seek treatment outside the park. It's a great way to minimize outside scrutiny this way.

My worst summer job? It was 1979, I was 15 years old and I worked in a liquor store on CatalinaRead More Island. Tom Cat Liquor. Most of my customers were half naked gorgeous girls in bikinis. The rest were nice guys who would give me tips. At the end of the night my evil boss would make me restock all the shelves of liquor and beer. But he would make me drink my favorite beer... And he helped me. And that was my Worst job. Life is great in So Cal!!

Stay inside. Set A/C to a comfortable 77 degrees. Putter and catch up with household chores.

No School!! Spending more time with my family and friends on picnics and outings on the river andRead More the lake. Organizing street and vacant lot sports, afternoon wiener roast parties, marbles, and card games. Going to the community pool and recreation center across town.... More time for Artwork. Friday night Teen-Town dances at the school. I worked in construction and for my neighbors too to pay my school tuition..... Norman Rockwell followed me around (No he didn't :-) ).... I sincerely wished that every kid could grow up like this. You might say I was country before it was cool.
