Construction Wraps Up On Temecula Valley Hospital

The hospital has received its certificate of occupancy.

Temecula Valley Hospital is one step closer to its projected fall opening.

Two years after construction began on the hospital located just off Temecula Parkway, officials have announced the facility received its certificate of occupancy on July 19 from the Office of Statewide Planning and Development.

According to hospital CEO and Managing Director Darlene Wetton, this is a major milestone because it means construction is complete and staff can move into the facility and begin training.

Wetton noted that a certificate of occupancy does not allow the hospital to receive or treat patients just yet.

“This certificate means construction of our new hospital is complete and now we can apply for hospital licensure," she said, noting there is no exact timeline for obtaining state license, but the hospital staff is doing all it can to move forward as quickly as possible.

A community celebration for Temecula Valley Hospital will be held Saturday, August 10, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wetton said the celebration is open to the public and tours of the new facility will be available.

“We are so excited to unveil this amazing facility and our staff to the community,” she said.
